Thermocoagulation uses a high-frequency micro-electrical current applied locally with an ultra-fine sterile filament. The heat produced instantly coagulates dilated micro-vessels or destroys the structure of small skin anomalies without damaging the surrounding skin. First, our Technical Director will inform you about the first steps before booking your in-person consultation. She will determine whether you are a good candidate for thermocoagulation, inform you in a general way and answer your questions. She will make sure to provide you with a free in-person consultation appointment, with or without a first treatment session, according to your needs and availability.
In-person evaluation
Next, a technician will meet you for your free consultation. She will have enough time to fill out a health form and answer any other questions. She will assess the skin or vascular imperfections to be treated, rule out contraindications and explain the steps to follow before and after the treatment. The treatment parameters will be determined and she will begin the session or schedule a later appointment, depending on the case.
First session
The technician will check the settings of your treatment. She will make sure the area to be treated is clean and properly disinfected. Then, she will gently prepare the skin to optimize the precision of the treatment and ensure your best comfort throughout the session.
She will begin the treatment by targeting each imperfection with an ultra-fine sterile filament while checking your comfort level. Once the thermocoagulation is complete, she will apply high frequency (purple light then red light) over the entire treated area to disinfect and soothe the skin and instantly reduce redness.

What types of imperfections can be treated with thermocoagulation?
This treatment addresses couperose, telangiectasias (small vessels), ruby points, skin tags and milia seeds.
How many sessions are needed?
Generally, 1 to 2 sessions are enough for a targeted imperfection (ruby point, skin tag). For a large area affected by couperose, a few additional sessions may be required.
Is the treatment painful?
The sensation is very well tolerated. It feels like a brief tingling or a slight warm pinch. The treatment is quick and is followed by a soothing high frequency.
How long does a session last?
A session generally lasts 15 to 30 minutes, depending on the number of imperfections to be treated.
What are the side effects after the session?
Slight redness appears immediately. Small superficial crusts may form in the following days and fall off on their own within 5 to 10 days.
How often should I space out my appointments?
Sessions on the same area should be spaced about 3 to 4 weeks apart to give the skin time to heal completely.
What precautions should be taken after the treatment?
Avoid sun exposure and the sauna/spa for 48 hours, do not scratch the small crusts, and apply sun protection (SPF 50+).
What results are visible immediately?
Several imperfections (such as ruby points or some small vessels) disappear or fade as soon as the session ends.
